Happy Holidays.
I ran into an old friend while in Richmond this week and he reminded me that I haven't updated the website in months. For anyone who has been checking, I'm sorry it's been so long. Things have been very busy but I have good news to report:
The film is locked. This was a hard process that took months of editing, screening, re-editing, and screening more. Thank you to everyone in New York who screened the film, your input helped make the film infinitely better.
Right now, Mike Dillenberger is doing sound design work and the footage is being transfered to Hi-Def. Once these two processes are complete, Jackson Ward is wrapped.
We have submitted to several film festivals and in the coming weeks (and months) will be submitting to many more. As soon as we know when the film will premier, I will update again. Thank you again to everyone who was involved in the success of this film, I'm very proud of it.

We did it.
After six hard days, shooting is complete. It was physically and mentally exhausting for all of us, but we did it, and it was great. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, especially my amazing cast, my amazing crew, and my amazing parents.
The editing process will start next week - we are only half-way there. Check back for updates.
love,
Matt

Lots of progress has been made and we are inching closer to our June 1 start-date. Things are really coming together thanks to all of the donations that have been made to the project, we really can't thank you enough. If you have donated but have NOT received a tax receipt in the mail from us, please e-mail us at jacksonwardfilm@gmail.com.
We have raised a whole lot of money, but we are still just a little bit short of our mark, please keep those contributions coming. Just because we shoot in about a month doesn't mean the spending stops there - we need a great deal of money for post-production, and the most exciting part, festival applications!
Don't forget to request a copy of our prospectus if you're interested in the film, or request that a copy be sent to someone you know who might be able to help.
Our cast is ALMOST entirely locked, and we are thrilled. Shortly we will update the CAST page for everyone to see who we've got on our team.
Stay tuned for more --- this is going to be a really great film.
