For the first time in probably 10 years I rented a film from blockbuster. The film is one which I wanted to watch at the cinema. Unfortunately it was not at the cinema long enough for me to catch it. Submarine is a British film about a boy who is coming of age. You can read the synopsis on IMDB and it literally outlines the plot terribly. The film is not about a frustrated teenager trying to lose his virginity before he turns 16. Its about a boy with an imagination, discovering what life can bring and all that is to discover.

The film is like a diary entry. Outlining the main characters little thoughts. There are some great scenes about learning about relationships and dealing with parents and understanding that they are just children grown up a bit.

Submarine is a nice film to watch. Its that simple. Its not going to blow your mind, there are no special effects. Its a film which you will enjoy watching and will leave you feeling a little more positive than when you started.
