High School Musical sweetheart Zac Efron to play drug dealer in Snabba Cash
Even though not much time has elapsed, it seems that wonder boy Zac Efron has come a long way since appearing in the squeaky-clean High School Musical films. The 22-year-old is set to star in and produce a big-budget remake of Snabba Cash, the hit Swedish film meaning ‘Easy Money’.
Efron is to play a runner for a drug dealer looking to get rich quick through his illegal trade, and the Holyywood heartthrob is also set to produce the film.
The original film was a thriller based on a novel by Jens Lapidus, but it remains to be seen how Hollywood will ‘modernise’ the tale.
